8 responsibilities on your plate:

1. You are the end responsible for the software architecture and infrastructure of our application in broad sense, with focus on back-end performance and scalability, and of course the end user;
2. You search for the biggest common denominator over multiple clients, and translate this in useful product features;
3. You prioritize product features in the Product Roadmap and sprint planning;
4. You define in JIRA what needs to happen, and you estimate the complexity of it by internal alignment with technical profiles (back-end, data science) and commercial profiles (customer success, project managers): you have experience in grafting front-end applications on a back-end infrastructure and you do this according to the rules of art (e.g. good ‘caching’);
5. End-to-end development: from data infrastructure, data architecture, data security and user management, up until development, testing and de-bugging of our back-end in AWS and APIs, and documenting your work in Confluence;
6. You are self-managing and autonomous: you define you own agenda and you take up your role in the team in a complementary way;
7. You contribute in defining the strategy for the product team and you proactively and timely start looking for reinforcement as Kwarts is growing;
8. You fluently communicate in English with your colleagues (the working language as we collaborate with different nationalities) and you share knowledge in Lunch & Learns;

1. Around 4-5 years of experience in developing a SaaS product:
   - Advanced knowledge and experience in AWS Cloud infrastructure (Terraform), high availability & scalable software/back-end engineering; and related aspects such as the set-up of data pipelines (Python with Pandas) via AWS S3 or REST API and AWS Batch & StepFunctions to run ETL jobs, RDS (Postgres) database management in SQL and/or GraphQL;
   - Experience in deployment of ML-models and code in Docker/Kubernetes or similar;
   - Experience with Git version control & Git workflows (AWS CodeCommit);
   - Familiar with the set-up of a SAM AWS Python API-infrastructure;
   - Familiar with data privacy -and security guidelines such as GDPR, SOC2 and ISO27001;
   - Experience with Data Warehousing, ETL Pipelines, large complex data sets, complex SQL queries/NoSQL platforms;
   - Good vision to make our software architecture future-proof, with attention for stability and performance;
   - Asset: experience with integration of CRM systems, marketing automation development such as Salesforce;
   - Asset: experience in B2B Cloud Software and with AI/ML (Machine Learning) components in Python development;
2. Bachelor or master’s in computer science (software engineering, electronics, IT…) or similar by experience;
